Posts: 411 Dallas, Texas | Need some peace of mind..while gassing up today, a small "shred size" piece of thin brown paper towel dropped into my gas tank, and disappeared so fast. Should I worry on it? Or will it just sink to the bottom, and ultimately disintegrate?

| HAH...glad I'm not the only one. I watched as the round paper liner-thing from inside the cap of my gas treatment dropped into the gas tank when I was out on a ride just before putting it up for the winter last year too and I've been worried it would plug up the filter. So far so good but I guess that means I'll have to start carrying some kind of alligator clamp to fish it out with if I see if float by the filler hole someday. |

| why not get some more paper and put it in a jar of gas and see if it dissolves.
Keep in mind visions do not have a fuel filter |

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | they do have a fuel filter in the form of a mesh. I'll have to dig up my old pump and post a pic of the filter. At worst it will stick to a portion of the filter, perhaps reducing flow slightly. If it dissolves, hopefully it will dissolve enough to not clog the injectors. I would probably run a half a can of seafoam every tank for the next five or six tanks. What will it do? Don't have a clue but it would give me peace of mind.

I use Seafoam, about every other tank. Think it will help?

Posts: 8144 New Bohemia, VA | I don't know if it really would help, but it would give me peace of mind. I don't have the covenience of no ethonol gas, JV. I don't think all products are bad, sea foam "seems" to provide improvement. |

Thanks Wedge. I'll continue my SeaFoam as before, but not for the sliver of paper. But I will be more careful next time for sure. |
