I'm new to the forum so am not sure if this is brought up before. I just purchased a 2016 magnum. I love the bike but am having a terrible time getting rid of the wind buffeting coming from around the fuel tank. I've installed a bit larger windshield, and lowers on the fairing and this has helped a lot, but I'm still having problems as I said from wind coming around the tank. I'm thinking of putting wind deflectors on the front forks, but I hate to spend any more money if this doesn't work. Anyone else out there have the same problem?

You need lowers on the forks, makes a huge difference...PS You are riding a bike not a car...LOL

See if you can find someone with a Cross Country tour and borrow their wind deflectors that fit on the bottom of the fairing. They should fit as the fairings are the same. I bet you'll find that this will solve your wind problem coming from around the tank.

Well versed in this area. I have a 2014 CC and a 2011 Vision. The lowers that mount to the CC's front forks will help a lot. However you will probably find they result in more heat coming off the motor as you are pushing the air bubble further out. Less airflow around the motor, more heat on the rider. Fine during the winter, but not so much during the summer. The only other part I found that works is the Madstad brackets and windshield. It doesn't look nearly as cool as the Magnum low shield, but it actually works. It allows air to travel under the shield and smooth out the air flow around the head. You also don't need the fork lowers for it to work. You can buy windshields all you want. None will really solve the problem. Tried the windvest, tried the air stream, etc. All are varying degrees of "eh". The Madstad will do it. Clean smooth air flow, just not as sexy of a solution. Much like the Vision's lower air vents.
